Moving into care shouldn’t mean losing your independence. At Stella Matutina, we provide compassionate, 24/7 residential support in a seaside sanctuary where you remain completely in charge of your day.
Whether you need a permanent home, short-term respite, or a relaxing day stay, our dedicated team is here to help you thrive.

For older adults who find managing at home increasingly difficult and want to trade daily chores for peace of mind, daily comfort, and vibrant community living.
Caregiving is a deeply rewarding role, but everyone needs time to rest and recharge. Our respite care provides full-time carers with a reliable break, while giving their loved one a peaceful seaside stay.

A warm, welcoming day retreat designed for local older adults living at home who would enjoy good food, great company, and lively activities during the day.
Guided by Sue, our dedicated Activities Worker, our weekly schedule offers a rich mix of physical movement, creative arts, live entertainment, and frequent outings.
Sue’s Philosophy: “Sue works closely with every resident to discover their personal passions and history. If a resident has a favorite pastime that isn’t on the schedule, Sue is always eager for new ideas and will help make it happen.”

Outings Across the Fylde Coast
We make full use of our seaside location and dedicated house car to keep residents connected to the local community. Regular highlights include trips to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom for afternoon tea and dancing, relaxed afternoons at friendly local pubs for drinks and a chat, and weekly coffee mornings at the nearby White Church.

Local Events & Lytham Outings
Living at Stella Matutina means staying part of town life. Whether it’s a quick shopping trip into Lytham Square, catching seasonal festivals, or enjoying a seaside stroll along the promenade, our team ensures residents can easily get out and about whenever they choose.

Armchair Travel & World Cultures
Our popular Armchair Travel Days take residents on journeys around the globe without leaving home. We pick a destination, explore its history and famous landmarks on the big screen, and enjoy authentic regional food and drink specially prepared by our on-site chefs.

Nostalgic Theme Days & Parties
We love a good celebration! Throughout the year, the home hosts vibrant themed event days, including Race Days, Eurovision watch parties, VE Day remembrances, and lively 1940s nostalgia weekends filled with period music, decorations, and memories.

Creative Arts, Clubs & Mind Games
There are plenty of opportunities to pick up a new hobby or challenge friends to a friendly match. Our weekly schedule includes Bridge Club, Scrabble, Dominoes, Beetle, Snooker, Darts, Bingo, and weekly Quizzes. For creative minds, a visiting local artist hosts regular sessions in card making, painting, and table decoration.

Gentle Movement & Live Performances
Staying active and entertained is central to well-being here. Residents enjoy low-impact Tai Chi and armchair exercise sessions to support balance and mobility, as well as outdoor Pitch & Putt on our estuary-facing lawn. The home frequently comes alive with live music, welcoming visiting classical tenors, ukulele bands, and local singers.
The Details That Make It Feel Like Home. Beyond our core care levels, it is the daily practicalities that give Stella Matutina its unique atmosphere of calm and freedom.

Floor-by-Floor Satellite Kitchenettes
Residents (and visiting relatives) have complete, 24/7 access to nearby tea kitchens. Make a hot brew, toast a morning snack, or host family just like you would at home.

Dedicated 'House Car' & Outings
Care shouldn’t mean staying indoors. Our private house car provides regular, easy transport into Lytham Square for shopping, coffee trips, appointments, and local events.

Healthcare Coordination
We focus on residential care, but we work closely with local GPs, nurses, and specialists. If family can’t attend appointments, a staff member will always accompany your loved one.

Flexibility for Personalisation
All 42 of our en-suite rooms come fully furnished, but we strongly encourage residents to bring their favourite furniture, photos, and personal items to make the space genuinely theirs.
There is always something happening inside our home! Follow along with our daily activities, seaside outings, theme days, and live entertainment as they happen.
Every family’s situation is unique. Speak directly with our care management team to discuss what level of support would suit your loved one best.
