At Stella Matutina, we believe that exceptional residential care starts with extraordinary people. Our home isn’t run like a corporate institution, it is a warm, vibrant community guided by long-serving carers, dedicated leadership and a shared commitment to dignity, respect, and independence.

We adapt our support around the resident’s existing habits, never forcing anyone into a rigid institutional schedule. Whether someone prefers early mornings, late breakfasts, or quiet afternoons in the garden, their choices are always respected.
We prioritise strong staff retention so our team truly gets to know each resident’s personality, life story, and personal preferences. Seeing familiar carers every day builds deep trust, emotional comfort, and a genuine sense of security.

Our care team is first-aid trained, compassionate, and attentive. We provide gentle support with personal care, mobility, and medication management in a way that always protects a resident’s self-esteem, privacy, and self-worth.
Behind every smooth day, delicious meal, and engaging activity is a dedicated team passionate about making Stella Matutina feel like home.
Dawn - Registered Home Manager
Overseeing daily care, regulatory standards, and resident well-being. Dawn operates an open-door policy for all residents and family members. She ensures the home maintains its exceptionally warm, family-oriented culture while maintaining high standards of care and comfort.
Sue - Activities & Wellbeing Coordinator
Organising our rich weekly schedule of trips, creative arts, theme days, and gentle exercise. Sue takes the time to sit down with every new resident to discover their personal life story, hobbies, and passions—tailoring activities and local outings so everyone feels included and inspired.
Our On-Site Culinary & Housekeeping Teams
Preparing fresh, locally sourced home-cooked meals every day and maintaining immaculate, comfortable living spaces. From catering to special dietary requirements and cooking regional dishes for our Armchair Travel Days, our kitchen staff ensure mealtime is always a delicious daily highlight.

Rooted in Community Since 1934
Stella Matutina was originally established in Lytham St Annes by the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary. For nearly a century, our walls have stood as a beacon of comfort and sanctuary for older adults on the Fylde Coast.
Today, while managed with modern standards and professional care practices, we carry forward that same foundational ethos: treating every resident with unconditional kindness, warmth, and profound respect.

Our Quality & Safety Commitment
We take pride in maintaining full transparency with families. Stella Matutina is fully registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our staff receive continuous professional training in safeguarding, dementia awareness, moving and handling, and infection control, ensuring your loved one is in safe, expert hands 24/7.
The best way to judge the feel of a care home is to visit yourself. Drop in for a cup of tea, meet Dawn and the care team, and experience the warm atmosphere at Stella Matutina firsthand.
